Full description

Natural England Volunteers, 2009-2015, Natural England Volunteer Archaeological Survey, G44, G45 and G46 (Worksheet). SDV350591.

Stone mound though to be related to field clearance noted at SX77391 80669. Solid and obvious. Approximately 10 metres from a second stone mound and approximately 25 metres from the farm platform.
Further mound noted at SX77408 80674. Thought to be a clearance cairn. Measures 7.5 metres by 4.3 metres by 5.8 metres by 3 metres, Height 1.4 metres.
Another mound noted at SX77441 80664. Stone/boulder mound. Field clearance? Burial? Significant and solid. Lower than adjacent mounds. Slope of top surface matches fall of the land. Significant stone seat near centre. Excavation recommended as central infill has a predominance of fist size stones (unlike large boulder structure of adjacent mounds).
