Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Depicted on the Tithe Map; 795 on the apportionment. 'House and outhouses: Part of Gides Tenement'. The building is shown split into two sections, with the north-eastern end coloured red to indicate a dwelling, while the south-western end is coloured grey, indicating an agricultural building. An additional square grey coloured building is shown adjoining the north-east edge of the house.

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The late 19th century historic map is much the same as the Tithe Map, although the building to the north-east of the house may be gone by this time.

Dartmoor National Park Authority, 2011, Mary Tavy Conservation Area Character Appraisal, 25 (Report - Assessment). SDV359468.

Eastlands – Unlisted. This is a long linear range with farmhouse and attached barn and a range of associated outbuildings. Despite the ordered fenestration on the farmhouse it is quite probable that this represents the 19th century re-working of an earlier building. Earlier fabric may remain to indicate the original age of the building. The agricultural buildings date from the 19th century.

Ordnance Survey, 2016, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV359352.

Eastlands is depicted on the modern mapping.
