The extraction pits are visible as earthwork pits.

Earthwork pits of probable post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the northwest of North Hill Farm. The two earthworks are located either side of an historic field boundary. The eastern earthwork is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 32m in length by 27m in width, whilst that to the west is triangular in shape and measures approximately 58m in length by 22m in width. The earthworks remain visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
