The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 88m in length by 35m in width and is located in an area where a number of gravel pits and marl pits are depicted on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The former extraction pit is depicted as a pond on the 2016 Ordnance Survey MasterMap.
