An earthwork pit of a possible post-medieval to modern clay pit is visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Courtmoor Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 38m in length by 30m in width and is located in an area where other similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. Clay pits are also depicted in close proximity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthwork pit remains visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
