Possible former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork ditch and banked features on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the south of Livenhayes Farm. The earthworks occupy an area of approximately 0.74 hectares of moderate east facing slope. They comprise a curvilinear earthwork bank with flanking ditch to the west, with a series of shorter, more linear banks or varying alignment to the east. The Historic Landscape Characterisation Project has classified this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’, although the possible boundaries appear to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthworks remain visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
