Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, at Livenhayes Farm. An orchard is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1947 show that the orchard remains largely covered with trees. A number of trees have, however, been cleared on digital images of 2016 and traces of earthwork banks are visible. The earthworks are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.43 hectares of gentle northeast facing slope, within an irregular shaped plot depicted on the First Edition OS map.
