Full description

APH, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV51606.

Small circular cropmark, possibly hut circle, and linear cropmarks visible on dapg ap. Rapid examination of ap suggests presence of 4 probable prehistoric or roman round barrows. See also st01sw/130. Dark annular mark diam c.5m. Recorded from the air as a cropmark by f. Griffith in 1990 (aph).

A ring ditch of a probable prehistoric barrow is visible as a cropmark ditch on specialist oblique aerial photographs of 1989, to the northeast of Wallflower Cottages. The uninterrupted sub-circular ring ditch measures approximately 13m in diameter and is sited on fairly level ground within an area where a linear alignment of three other ring-ditches has been recorded.
