A roughly circular cropmark was visible.

A circular cropmark was visible on aerial photographs of 1989 on the north-west facing upper slopes of a ridge to the east of Honiton. The cropmark was less than 0.75m wide and defined a circular area circa 15 metres in diameter. The cropmark was probably of non-archaeological origin, possibly a fungus ring, and has been recorded to prevent confusion with other classes of archaeological ring ditch. The plot of land in which the cropmark was visible has been developed as a covered reservoir, the north-western limit of which clips the edge of the cropmark.
