Summary
Farmstead dates to at least the early-mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence, but may have been earlier. Developed in the later 19th century, the layout of the buildings remains much the same although they have been converted to residential use in modern times.

Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The Tithe Map shows the farm (1390 on the apportionment; 'Farm house and c'; part of Town Estate) with a house in the north-eastern corner (pre-dating the current old farmhouse), and agriculatural buildings to the south and west of the dwelling.

The late 19th century historic map shows the farm has developed since the Tithe Map depiction. A large square farmhouse has been built with a range of farm buildings bordering the southern, western and eastern sides of the farm, as well as more outbuildings along the northern side of the farm.
