An earthwork bank of a possible field boundary or lynchet of potential medieval date is visible on aerial photographs of 1982 onwards, to the northeast of Harvest Wood. The north to south aligned earthwork bank is visible to a length of 60m and is located parallel to gentle east facing slope. The possible boundary is not depicted on the Parish Tithe Map, so appears to have passed out of use by this time. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project classifies this area as ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’, so may well have medieval origins. The possible field boundary or lynchet is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1996.
