Cropmarks of uncertain date and function are visible on aerial photographs of 1996, to the south of Newcott Farm. The cropmarks are chacterised by a regular and well-defined ring ditch which measures approximately 20m in diameter and which is located within the south-eastern corner of a field, on gentle northwest facing slope. Stretching from the centre of the ring dich north-westerly towards Newcott Farm is a dark linear spread indicative of an area of damp ground; these cropmarks were not, however, transcribed as part of this survey. A post-like structure is also possibly visible within the ring ditch. Whilst the nature of the cropmarks are largely uncertain, the ring ditch would appear to post-medieval or modern in date. It is presumably associated with the linear cropmarks and so may represent some sort of small ditched enclosure defining a spring or well. The ring ditch does not appear to be prehistoric in origin. The cropmarks are not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
