Cropmarks which have formed over levelled banks of potential medieval or post-medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs of 1971, at Four Elms. The cropmarks comprise a single linear northeast to southwest aligned bank, with a broadly T-shaped cropmark to the immediate southeast. Part of the western, linear field boundary is depicted here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, although the remaining field boundaries appear to have passed out of use by this time. The cropmarks are not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
