The possible marl pit is visible as an earthwork pit, although is largely obscured by tree cover.

A possible marl pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the north of Four Elms. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 50m in length by 37m in width and lies within Rasbeer Copse. Marl pits are depicted in close proximity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, which gives a good indication as to the likely use of this earthwork. It remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
