An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Yarcombe. The earthwork is oval in shape, measures approximately 20m in length by 15m in width and is situated in close proximity to a number of similar such features recorded as part of this survey. It is still visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2014.
