An extraction pit of post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the west of Yarcombe. The circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 18m in diameter and is situated in close proximity to a number of similar such features recorded as part of this survey. It remains visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010.
