An enclosure of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork ditch on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the west of Yarcombe. The rectilinear shaped enclosure measures approximately 43m in length by 41m in width and abuts a lane on its western side. The enclosure may form part of a small land parcel and possibly defines the extent of an orchard, with possible orchard banks having been recorded to the immediate north and east. The earthwork enclosure, which may represent the same feature as MDV48630, is still visible on aerial photographs of 2000.
