A possible medieval cultivation terrace is visible as an earthwork bank feature on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the south of Cockhayes. The curvilinear earthwork bank is broadly northeast to southwest aligned, measures approximately 16m in width and is sited on moderate southeast facing slope. The earthwork bank is still clearly visible on aerial photographs of 2000.
