Possible cultivation terraces or former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Knapp Farm. The linear and curvilinear earthworks occupy an area of approximately 0.97 hectares, are northeast to southwest aligned and are sited on and parallel to moderate northwest facing slope. The earthworks may represent a combination of lynchets and former field boundaries which passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. It is also possible, however, that some of the earthworks are the result of natural formation processes. The earthworks remain visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016.
