Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, at Back Allers. The earthworks, which are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 1.29 hectares of gentle northeast facing slope, may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. Partial earthworks of a field boundary define the northern edge of the earthwork banks. The earthwork banks remain visible on aerial photographs of 1996.
