This report was commissioned by Mills Whipp Projects Ltd on behalf of Friends Life Ltd in order to help establish the cultural heritage and archaeological implications of a proposal for a construction project.

Geophysical survey identified an anomaly group which may represent either a linear deposit disturbed by later ploughing or a linear series of pits of archaeological significance. The shape and distribution of
the anomalies makes a disrupted linear deposit more likely. This group has an orientation apparently at odds with the trends of the extant and recorded Post medieval fields. As such it may represent an older phase of land use.
