Full description

Urmston, Ben, 11/2008, Avon Support Main, between Roborough and Houndall, near Plymouth, Devon. (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV358939.

A geophysical survey was undertaken of a proposed 13km water main between Roborough and Houndall, near Plymouth, Devon.

The survey identified a curvilinear anomaly likely to be the remnants of a former field boundary. Curvilinear anomalies to the south may have some archaeological significance, although their nature is not certain from their form. Trends aligned approximately north to south appear to intercept the southeastern field corner at an extant entrance and may therefore be the remains of a track.
