Full description

Urmston, Ben, 2008, Avon Support Main, between Roborough and Houndall, near Plymouth, Devon. (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV358939.

A geophysical survey was undertaken of a proposed 13km water main between Roborough and Houndall, near Plymouth, Devon.
The survey identified curvilinear and sub-annular anomalies which may be of archaeological interest, although their lack of definite form and restricted context make this interpretation uncertain. A band of increased magnetic response aligned northeast to southwest near the centre of the area is possibly geological in origin. Elsewhere, weak trends probably reflect underlying pedological variations.

Taylor, S. R., 2009, Avon SWW Pipeline, Devon: Archaeological Mitigation Archive report, 22, 28 Fig. 13 (Report - Assessment). SDV364052.

A group of eight small pits and/or tree bowls was recorded in Area G2, to the north of which was another tree bowl that had been cut by a pit or posthole.

Ordnance Survey, 2016, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV359352.
