A small earthwork pit was visible.

The remains of a possible small former extractive pit of probable post-medieval to 19th century date were visible as a shallow earthwork hollow on digital images derived from lidar data, on the south-facing slopes north-east of Woodhayne Farm, Combe Raleigh. The hollow or pit measured between 28 to 38 metres across, and possibly cut the course of a former field boundary of probable medieval date.
