Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1948, to the southeast of Lemon’s Hill Farm. The earthworks, which are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 1.10 hectares of gentle southwest facing slope, may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent former woodland or an orchard , the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the trees. Orchards and woodland are depicted within the vicinity here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthwork banks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs after 1948 and their survival is uncertain.
