Earthwork cuttings and pit and banked features of possible medieval to post-medieval extractive workings are visible on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards, to the west of Hart’s Farm. The earthworks are located within a single field of moderate southwest facing slope. They are characterised by a trapezoidal shaped cutting across the eastern half of the field, approximately 0.85 hectares in area, within which are earthwork pit and banked features of possible individual workings, the banks likely representing up-cast material. Traces of the earthwork cutting are visible on digital images captured in 2016.
