An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards, to the southeast of Bollhayes Park. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 37m in length by 27m in width and lies in close proximity to a similar such earthwork feature, albeit much larger, located 120m to the northeast. The extraction pit is visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014.
