An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1948 onwards, to the southwest of Lillycombe Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 62m in length by 59m in width and lies within the site of a former orchard, which it likely pre-dates, shown here on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The earthwork is located in close proximity to a similar such earthwork feature, albeit much smaller, located 120m to the southwest. The extraction pit is visible on digital images captured in 2010.
