Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 4 metres in width, were identified from simple local relief visualisations of lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their width and cross-contour orientation are indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date. A slight bank, curvilinear in shape, is visible on the southern edge of the linear banks, and an interpretation as a relict field boundary is plausible. No orchard is depicted in this location on the available historic mapping, and use of this land as an orchard probably pre-dated the mid-19th century.
