Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres in width, were identified from simple local relief visualisations of lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and are visible as dark cropmarks or shadows on aerial photographs taken between 2002 and 2006. Their cross-contour orientation is indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date, although their width is slightly narrower than is found in the local area. A linear ditch bounds the banks to the north and extends to the north-east, and may have been to further aid drainage on this site. Scattered trees are still visible on the modern aerial photographic resource although it is not clear whether the trees are still in production.
