A possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards at Rosemary Lane. The earthwork is sub-rectilinear in shape, measures approximately 53m in length by 48m in width and is located in an area where other similar features have been recorded as part of this survey. The earthwork remains clearly visible on lidar-derived images captured in 2008.
