An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the east of Gollick Park. The sub-rectilinear shaped earthwork measures approximately 54m in length by 36m in width and abuts a trackway along its western edge. The extraction pit is located in an area where other similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. It remains visible on lidar-derived images captured in 2008.
