Earthwork banks of uncertain date are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the north of Bellett’s Farm. The earthworks comprise two linear and parallel northwest to southeast aligned banks, with two part-fragmented curvilinear banks on the eastern side of these. The earthworks are sited on gentle to moderate southwest facing slope and occupy an area of approximately 0.52 hectares. The function and date of the earthworks is, however, largely unclear, although may represent former field boundaries and or cultivation terraces of medieval to post-medieval date. The earthworks, which are not depicted on historic maps, remain visible on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2008.
