Linear low banks and shallow ditches were visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs and lidar data to the west and north of Churchstyle Farm, Stockland village. The banks, probably former field boundaries of post-medieval date to 19th century date, were circa 3 metres wide and flanked by narrower ditches. Additional ditches intersect with these and may be evidence of drainage works. The earthworks fall within a field pattern characterised by HLC as being of post-medieval origin, but do not correspond with any features depicted on the Tithe Map for Stockland or the Ordnance Survey 25 inch first edition map. This might support the interpretation that the boundaries were post-medieval in date but removed before circa 1840.
