A curvilinear earthwork bank, up to 3.5 metres in width, was visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards. Its western end corresponds to a kink in the extant field boundary, and fits into the historic field pattern, which has been characterised as based on medieval strip fields. It is not depicted on the available historic mapping, and is interpreted as a relict field boundary of medieval origin, which fell out of use prior to the early-20th century.
