A linear gulley was visible on aerial photographs and digital images derived from lidar data as an earthwork up to 10 metres wide crossing the south-west facing combe slopes to the south of Ford Farm, Stockland parish, for circa 250 metres. The gulley appears to be overlain by the earthwork banks of an orchard of probable post-medieval date for much of it’s length, and might therefore be evidence of a linear feature, such as a track or hollow way, of medieval to post-medieval date.
