A curvilinear ditch or gulley of unknown date or function was visible on aerial photographs and on digital images derived from aerial photographs and lidar data as an earthwork and cropmark on the gentle south-east facing slopes between Larkshayes Cross and Combehead Droveway, Dalwood parish. The ditch or gulley measures circa 13 metres across and defined a roughly D-shaped area over 40 metres across at its widest point. The ends of the ditch appeared to abut extant field boundaries of probable post-medieval date to the north and north-east; no sign of the earthwork continuing beyond the boundaries was noted as part of the survey but further work, such as geophysical survey, is recommended to clarify the extent of this feature.
