Summary
The remains of a probable medieval field boundary are visible as a curvilinear earthwork bank on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It seems that it fell out of use before the mid-19th century.

A curvilinear earthwork bank, circa 3 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Its relationship with an extraction pit (MDV115487) is not clear, but it may overlie the pit. The bank is interpreted as a relict field boundary of medieval or post-medieval origin. It is not depicted on the available historic mapping, and so it is likely to have fallen out of use prior to the mid-19th century.
