Linear and curvilinear terraces or platforms were visible as earthwork on aerial photographs of 2000 on the east-facing slopes to the east of Ridge Court Farm, Stockland. The earthworks were not depicted on the Tithe map or OS First Edition map but did fall within the current field pattern, which has been characterised by HLC as potentially being of post-medieval origin. The earthworks are interpreted here as the remains of former enclosure, possibly field boundaries, terraces or platforms of possible post-medieval date, probably associated with Ridge Court Farm, but that passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century.
