Full description

No pits are depicted, and much of the area is depicted as wooded.

Five irregular earthwork pits, the largest circa 70 by 25 metres, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Most of this area is depicted as woodland on the late-19th century map, and they are interpreted as the remains of post-medieval or early modern extraction pits that had ceased operation by the late-19th century.
