Several curvilinear earthwork banks, up to 4 metres in width and roughly parallel, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards. They fit into the field pattern, in an area characterised as based on medieval strip fields and are interpreted as relict field boundaries of medieval origin that fell out of use prior to the mid-19th century. Curvilinear conjoined earthwork ditches closely follow the banks in part, but in other areas they seem to cut them. They may be later features, possibly for drainage, although they are not typical layout for a drainage system.
