Possible field boundaries of potential medieval or post-medieval date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the north of Bodmiscombe. The two earthworks are broadly north to south aligned and appear to be associated with field boundaries to the south. The earthworks are not shown on the Parish Tithe Map of 1838-48, so likely passed out of use by this time. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project classifies this area as comprising ‘Post-medieval enclosures with medieval elements’. They remain visible as earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data capture din 2016.
