Field boundaries, some of which are of potential medieval date, are visible as earthwork banked features on digital images captured in 2002, to the northeast of Bodmiscombe, Uffculme. The three contiguous earthwork boundaries are curvilinear in shape and northwest to southeast and northnorthwest to southsoutheast aligned. The southern boundary is depicted here on the Parish Tithe Map, although that to the north appears to have passed out of use by this time. The eastern boundary represents a later manifestation to the field system here and is not depicted until the Ordnance Survey First Edition map of between the 1880’s-90’s. Aerial photographs of 1947 show the southern and eastern boundaries as extant, although both of these have since been completely removed.
