An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the northwest of Goodleigh, Uffculme. The rectilinear shaped earthwork measures approximately 60m in length by 36m in width and abuts an historic field boundary along its northern edge. The extraction pit remains visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2007.
