A series of earthwork banks of post-medieval to 19th century date are visible on aerial photographs of 1947 and digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Abbotsford Farm, Hemyock. The earthworks comprise a series of linear and parallel northwest to southeast aligned banks which occupy an area of approximately 0.09 hectares. The earthworks may represent the remains of 18th-19th cultivation banks or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. The earthworks are located within a rectilinear shaped plot which is defined by field boundaries also recorded as part of this survey.
