An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, to the southwest of Collinshayne House, Hemyock. The earthwork is sub-rectilinear in shape, measures approximately 46m by 46m in size and is located in an area where numerous similar such features have been recorded as part of this survey. The earthwork remains visible on infra-red digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2014.
