Summary
Two linear earthwork banks visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, are interpreted as the remains of post-medieval field boundaries that fell out of use prior to the mid-19th century.

Two linear earthwork banks, up to 4 metres in width and circa 41 metres apart, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The southern end of one corresponds to a slight change in alignment in the extant field boundary, and they are interpreted as the remains of boundary banks. The area has been characterised as post- medieval enclosures, and the form of the banks is in keeping with field boundaries of this period. As they are not depicted on the available historic mapping, they probably fell out of use prior to the mid-19th century. The boundaries probably continued some 80 metres to the north-west, but were not clearly enough defined to be transcribed.
