A number of earthwork ditches, circa 1 metre wide, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. One corresponds to a linear feature depicted on the Tithe map, and this as well as the adjacent earthworks appears to arise and run gently downslope from a linear cross-contour feature depicted on the late-19th century OS mapping. The earthworks are interpreted as the gutters of a catchmeadow system fed by this linear feature, likely to have been post-medieval or 19th century in date. An offshoot and two separate but similar ditches to the east may have been part of the same water management system but they run more sharply downslope and their function is less clear.
