A possible gravel pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998-2014, to the northeast of Tedburrow Farm, Hemyock. The earthwork is elongated in shape and measures approximately 47m in length by 12m in width. The earthwork abuts an earthwork ditch of a former field boundary along its southern edge, although this relict boundary was not transcribed as part of this survey as it is depicted on historic mapping. Several gravel pits are depicted within the vicinity on this map, so is conceivable this extraction pit was similarly exploited for such. It was not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
