A possible earthwork banked feature of uncertain date and function is visible on aerial photographs of 1971, to the north of Culmbridge Farm. The possible earthwork is poorly defined, but appears to be broadly crescent shaped and measuring approximately 33m in length by 12m in width. It is sited on gentle northeast facing slope, adjacent to the River Culm. Whilst the nature of this possible feature is largely unclear and should be viewed with some caution, it may represent the up-cast material from a possible extraction pit, a number of extraction pits being recorded within the vicinity, or relates to the iron working industry which characterises Hemyock, such as a slag dump or spoil heap for example. It is not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to this survey and may have since been completely levelled.
